St. Louis Barbershop Eau De Parfum
The alley in the artwork is in downtown St. Louis on Laclede’s Landing known as Claymorgan Alley. This spot is the most haunted street in the U.S. At the height of the cholera epidemic, late July early August, 1849, bodies were stacked up on this street four and five high. The alley was used as a depository for the dead. There are claims there were so many bodies stacked in the alley that you couldn’t walk from one end to the other. Eventually Irish immigrants were hired to transport the dead across town and bury them. Search the art for some Easter eggs we put in the label.
